One of the biggest problem that can, and most likely, will be faced with when working on large scale project is communication with understanding. You need the knowledge and skills to maintain understanding between all angles of the project while still communicating your point. From the Artist, the Designers, the Marketing team, the Executives, etc. each with their own language. While having the Timeline in effect, the work being done, money being used, and a submission date to met, there is no room for error or confusion.
I have found that keeping everyone informed while accessing keywords is a great approach to this category. By maintaining an understanding for all aspects of the job. If an employee/employer is making a suggestion to make an alteration, you listen whole heartily, but memorize certain keywords that individual used to emphasize their point. While communicating those memorized terms, as well as using your knowledge of each group on the project this can increase communication dramatically.
Also, an office wide Instant Messaging service will also aid in any wasted time traveling through the office, and organization between groups. Everyone has their own desk, pod, and area of the office. Having a Daily IM chat will save Time and Money. Also, if this daily chat has everyone involved then everyone will constantly BE involved. Especially through out breaks, and others and such.
